Commercial Snow Plowing and De-icing

Estimating Process:
Brilar maintains a team of highly-trained estimators who personally visit each location and measure all applicable charistics. Rather than relying on square footages, our team goes above and beyond, by providing accurate measurements of city sidewalks, loading docks, dumpster areas, emergency exits, back doors, and any other areas that may require snow and ice management.
Field Staff:
Brilar Field Staff are composed of three groups to ensure that only properly-trained professionals are performing services at your location.
- Plowing Crews: Responsible for clearing of parking lots
- Salting Crews: Responsible for the application of liquid and or rock salt to parking areas
- Sidewalk Crews: Responsible for all building and city sidewalk shoveling and ice melt applications
Field Supervision:
Each region is staffed with an industry certified Area Manager to work directly with field staff and monitor quality control at all of their locations. Your team will have direct access to your Area Manager at all times for answers to quality control and service schedule questions.
Account Management:
Each account is assigned one of our highly trained account managers, who, like your Field Supervisor, is available 24/7 to answer your questions regarding content and alterations to your contract, additional services, and enhancements.
Service Schedule and Deliverables:
Brilar is committed to have all locations fully-serviced according to applicable requirements and/or by 7:00am. Brilar’s Snow and Ice Management contracts call for the following service to commence at these corresponding trigger points/accumulations:
- Plowing Services: at 1.5” of accumulation
- Sidewalk Shoveling: at .75” of accumulation
- Rock Salt and/or Ice Melt Application: whenever freezing temperatures are accompanied by precipitation.
Grounds Maintenance
Brilar specializes in providing exceptional grounds maintenance to commercial properties (i.e. Corporations, Industrial Facilities, School Districts, Homeowner’s Associations, and Apartment Communities). Grounds Maintenance programs are customized for each property and our objective is to meet and exceed our client’s expectations. We also provide large area mowing services for freeway slopes, open fields, roadways, and vacant lots. We cut approximately 300 miles of freeway grass per season for Wayne and Oakland counties as well as the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Rather than relying on square footages, our team goes above and beyond by providing accurate tree and shrub counts, as well as location and measurement of all landscape and annual beds. Our estimating team plays a critical role in providing you with the most aggressive pricing possible.

- Mowing Crews: Responsible for all grass cutting
- Weeding Crews: Responsible for all weed removal from landscape beds and edging of turf areas
- Enhancement Crews: Perform all specialized landscape installs and enhancements (ie mulch and annual installation, tree trimming, fertilization, etc.)

Service Schedule and Deliverables:
Normal Grounds Maintenance operations take place Monday through Saturday between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm. Each location receives grounds maintenance service every 7 to 10 days, based on client preferences and site conditions, and is assigned a set Service Day. Our Grounds Maintenance Program is designed around a core group of services most utilized by our clients. Our maintenance services include:
- Grass mowing, trimming and edging
- Spring and fall clean up
- Fertilization
- Insect and disease control
- Mechanical and chemical vegetation control
- Brush Hogging
- Irrigation and watering services
- Litter control
- Annual & perennial plantings
- Plant material pruning and trimming
